IN MARCH 2024 THE STONE OF DESTINY WAS TRANSFERRED FROM EDINBURGH CASTLE TO PERTH MUSEUM WHICH IS IN THE VICINITY OF SCONE PALACE THE ANCIENT SEAT OF THE KINGS OF SCOTLAND AND WHERE THEY WERE CROWNED ON THE STONE OF DESTINY THERE .IT IS A SYMBOLIC SIGN OF THE RESTORING OF SCOTLAND'S NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY.
